Alcohol delivery - for real?On April 1, 2009, the Government of Saskatchewan changed the The Alcohol Control Regulations Act to include and legalize Home Delivery of beverage alcohol. Bottle Runners immediately began the process to become fully licensed by The Saskatchewan Liquor & Gaming Authority and our license was issued on September 15, 2009. Are there any rules regarding delivery? We are governed much the same way a licensed restaurant or off-sale is:
What do you charge? We are committed to being the most affordable delivery service in Regina. If you find it cheaper elsewhere, we will beat their delivery charge! Don't worry though - you won't have to get us to beat their delivery charges - we are already 25 - 30% more affordable than the other guys on every single order - every single day! We are contributing to safer roads in Saskatchewan and we believe the most effective way to do that is to keep our rates affordable for everyone. What can I order? You can order nearly anything you desire! If you can get it in a store, we can run it to your door. Additionally, if the product you desire is only available in select stores, we will gladly pick it up there. Do you return empties?Yes, we do bottle returns. As a liquor delivery service, many of our customers don't have the means to get alcohol, so why would we expect them to have the means to return the empties? We will take your empty bottles when you call us to make a regular delivery, not only that, but we will pay you cash for them! Please note that for a large amount of bottles, we may only be able to take your empties prior to 5pm on weekdays. There is some flexibility here, it just depends on the amount of orders we're currently processing at that time. Call our office for more details. How much can I order? You can order as much as you like however there are additional charges for large orders. We base the extra charge on how much one person can reasonably handle during delivery. Call our office to get a quote. We guarantee that it will be more affordable than anyone else or we will beat the competitors price! How do I order?Call us at 949-BEER (949-2337) and an associate will take your order, your name and your phone number. We will then provide you with an estimated delivery time and price and then dispatch your order to the nearest driver. What happens when the driver comes to my door? The driver will provide you with a receipt outlining the actual cost of the product you ordered as well as the delivery rate we charged. Once you provide valid proof of age and payment in full, we will get you to sign the receipt (as required by SLGA) and that's it! How can I pay?At the door, we accept Cash and Debit. Do you charge extra for Debit or Credit Card? There is a cost to processing Interac and Credit Card transactions. The costs are even higher when the company requires true mobility with the terminals like we do. Some companies pass this cost on to every single one of their customers (no matter the method of payment) by charging an excessive delivery charge; we don't think that is very fair. Why haven't you answered my question? If we haven't addressed your question here, contact us via the General Inquiries link on the site or give us a call @ 949-BEER
